We are thoroughly enjoying our brand new kitchen/dining room addition constructed by Phillips & Company General Contracting. Fine workmanship by experienced carpenters, electricians and plumbers who were neat, friendly and trustworthy made our dream come true. The company's willingness to work with the clients very specific tastes and unconventional design plus their attention to detail sets Phillips & Company apart from today's cookie cutter builders. We have already recommended Phillips & Company to our neighbors.
Philips & Co. have completed several projects at our house over the years. One such project was an emergency burst pipe which was repaired that same day. As future projects arise we would not hesitate on calling Dale.
After some broken pipes damaged a large part of our dining room, kitchen and basement, we called Dale Phillips for a price quote. Dale thought the damage assessment by the insurance adjuster was a little low and Dale took the time to negotiate on our behalf and get us several thousand more dollars to put toward renovations. Dale was particularly helpful in assisting us with design and layout changes that we wanted to implement. The work Phillips and Company did at our home was top notch and the price for their services was fair and reasonable. The crew employed by Phillips were friendly and considerate. These guys were a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them for any type of home improvement work.
My wife & I own a small business in Mahopac, New York. We wanted to do a large and tricky renovation on our residence, which is within 20 feet to our business. The renovation involved a demolition and rebuild of an addition onto an old carriage house circa 1862. The renovation was tricky because the old structure was of questionable build quality, and the addition would more than double the square footage. Also the construction group had to keep the property looking tidy & keep the driveways & passageways to the business open and clear for customer traffic. Both of these requirements indicated a General Contractor that kept close tabs on his people & subcontractors, and that had considerable talent & experience. Phillips & Co., owned &operated by Dale Phillips, was recommended to us by a member of the Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce. This recommendation was important to us since we were new to the area. Everyone we asked reiterated Dale Phillip’s reputation for honesty and quality work & service, which helped us make our decision to hire him as our GM for our renovation project. Dale made a budget for our project and presented a detailed cost projection. After discussion, we agreed upon the budget and work began. At Dale’s insistence we met weekly for formal progress and budget/cost reconciliation so that there were no surprises. The renovation/addition to a house built in 1862 presented many challenges and as problems were discovered in the building process, we were consulted on the spot. We were extremely pleased with the quality of work & we sailed through every town inspection with ease. Our weekly budget reviews with Dale gave us a peace of mind that we were on target with the project’s cost estimates. During the construction process Dale’s team was consistently courteous and respectful to us. Changes that we requested and unforeseen problems discovered during demolition and construction were responded to in a timely, efficient & cost-sensitive manner. Phillips & Co. exceeded our exacting standards for quality construction with reasonable cost. Working with Dale is having someone you can trust in the business. That means a lot to us. Based on our positive experience with this construction project, we always recommend Phillips & Co. to our customers and friends for any and all of their addition, renovation and construction needs.
Phillips & Company has worked on many of my property and home projects since the company's beginnings. In my profession, having a keen eye for detail is what brings back the return customers. For the scope of the jobs to be preformed on this project I needed a contactor who also shared that same quality for detail. Several year's back I purchased a wonderful 2.5 acre farm property constructed about 1865, in Mahopac Falls, New York. This property required a great deal TLC in restoring it back to its original splendor. Expert craftsmanship was brought to the job each day and the work continued without any stalls. The project which is now about 75% competed has been a joy to be on. This past fall the 100 year old formal garden gazebo was brought back to useable condition, along with its eight gabled ceder shingled roof and its hand cut slotted ceder octognal benches. The fall weather allowed us to replace the 12' x 10
